Put Your Stress Into Words

Extreme stress can cause burnouts and overall unhappiness. Putting stress into words can help, as it has many positive effects. By telling stories, at work and at home, you create positive feelings, goodwill, and social connections. These all help eliminate stress. Writing a journal also helps by providing a safe place to express emotion. You can write about things that went well for you in order to reduce focus on the negative things in your life. You can also just write down everything you are thinking about to get it all out, which will diminish the intensity of your stress.
