A few new studies have shed more light on the field of memory research. The first study observes retrieval-induced forgetting, which is when remembering a certain piece of information makes you forget another one. In this study specifically, replacing certain bad memories in favor of more positive ones was recorded. The second study dealt with the differences between the memories of an older generation, and how a younger generation recalls the stories of those memories. The last study was conducted to determine whether or not memory actually decays over time, or if it is simply over-written with new memories as they occur.
