Gratitude: The First Line to a Healthy Relationship

Being grateful is not only being thankful for something, but showing that you feel that way by returning a kindness. By showing gratitude in a relationship, your partner will feel emotionally safe with you and let their guard down. This brings out the best in them when it comes to wanting to improve the relationship. All too often, gratitude is not properly expressed between two people, and that can lead to a weaker bond than can ultimately be achieved. By sharing the “act” of gratitude with others, you will put yourself in a position to receive acts of gratitude yourself.
