Today’s technology ensures that we are all bombarded with vast amounts of information almost instantaneously. For adults, sifting through a slew of news can be daunting, but how do you deal with all of this input if you are a child? On their own, children can choose to either ignore information or simply skim the surface. Creating critical thinking in children involves giving them time to sift through all of the data available and organizing it in a way that is meaningful to them. As a parent or teacher, you need to be the “gate keeper” of information and try to reduce the input to only the most relevant pieces.
