Alec Baker, Psy.D.

Adolescent Specific

Adolescence is a difficult phase of life that presents us with unique social and emotional challenges.  When these challenges turn into serious and prolonged problems at school, at home, and with peers it can be helpful to seek professional help.  Dr. Baker work with boys and girls ages 10 and older who are struggling with the following issues:

  • Behavioral problems
  • Depression & mood disorders
  • Anxiety
  • Conflicts with parents, teachers, siblings, and peers
  • Academic underperformance
  • Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder.

Psychotherapy with adolescents requires parent involvement, but does not always involve the whole family.  Please read more about family therapy here.
